The ECO II Cup Testing Kit with K2 utilises a competitive immunoassay that relies on specific interactions between antibodies and antigens to identify multiple drugs and their metabolites in human urine.
This one-step drug test delivers results within 1-2 minutes, employing monoclonal antibodies to selectively detect elevated drug levels in urine.
A drug-positive urine specimen will not produce a line in the test line region of the strip due to drug competition, while a drug-negative specimen will generate a line in the test line region.
The presence of a coloured line in the control line region confirms the test’s accuracy.

- Ensure that tests, specimens, and controls reach room temperature (15-30°C) before use.
- Collect a urine specimen in the provided cup, ensuring it surpasses the MIN URINE LEVEL mark.
- Verify the temperature label after specimen collection; a green dot should appear, indicating the sample’s temperature within the proper range (32-38°C or 90-100°F).
- Examine the adulteration strip within 2 minutes and compare the reagent pad colours to the provided Color Chart. If adulteration is detected, do not interpret the drug test results. Retest the urine or collect another sample.
- Read the ECO II Cup Testing Kit with K2 results at the 5-minute mark. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
- Non-negative results must be confirmed through GC/MS or LC/MS. Attach the security seal label with the donor’s ID and signature over the cap and forward the cup and urine specimen intact to a toxicology laboratory for verification.

- A CONTROL Line should always appear as proof the test has worked, and that the sample is suitable for testing.
- No line on the test area is POSITIVE (or non-negative). We advise that you send this sample to the lab for further testing.
- Any line, no matter how faint, on the test area is a NEGATIVE result. (See faint lines information.)
- It is normal for lines to develop at different rates, and have different intensities.
- A negative result can appear in under a minute.
- To read a positive result you will need to wait the full five minutes before reading the results.
- Tests should not be read after 10 minutes.
